CHECKBOX

FILLING CONTROL OF SHIPPING CRATES

The CHECKBOX solution, in a fully automated version integrated into a machine or in a manual version, performs the following functions, depending on the software license purchased:

  • Lots without traceability (Checkbox): Controls the number of cartons loaded in a shipping case, using a unique reference or data printed on the carton.

Vision system comprising industrial PC, 15″ touch screen, high-resolution camera and PLC. An optional printer and handheld scanner can be added to print and read bundle, case and pallet labels.

The equipment can be manually configured, with manual loading of the case and image capture from above, or semi-automatic/automatic for integration into case-packers.

MANUAL CHECKBOX

Processes without traceability (Checkbox)

  • The system takes an image of each layer of cartons as they are loaded into the machine. Image capture is synchronized with machine operation.
  • Once the case has been filled, the system counts the number of cases based on a unique reference on each case.
  • Depending on the result of the inspection and the machine’s operation, non-conforming cases can be automatically ejected and signaled by an audible warning light.

Example: The images above show a real production process where the cartons are printed and checked by a PVS, and then a PVS-Mi counts the cartons in the case based on the presence of human-readable markings. The PVS-Mi therefore checks the number of cartons introduced into the checkout and the presence of the information printed on each carton.

BENEFITS

  • Guarantees complete filling of each checkout (with image and file validation).

  • Avoids distributor claims for lack of product.

  • Allows precise monitoring of the number of units remaining to be produced, based on the number of products already packed up to the shipping case.

  • Equipment ready for traceability (just add the necessary licenses).
